Together We Can Bring Hope This Christmas
Many seafarers will spend Christmas far from home, separated from family and facing long periods at sea. Through prayer, worship and generous support, your Church can help bring hope, practical care and Christian compassion to seafarers this Christmas.

Many seafarers will be working this Christmas while others celebrate. Some will be keeping watch through the night, carrying goods on which communities depend. Some will be waiting in unfamiliar ports, facing delay, fatigue, uncertainty or separation from home. In those circumstances, hope may arrive through something apparently simple: a welcome in port, a listening ear, a phone call home, transport, practical advocacy, pastoral care or a Christmas gift that says, “You are seen. You are remembered. You are not alone.”
The Mission to Seafarers seeks to offer that kind of faithful presence in Christ’s name. A harbour does not remove every storm, but it can offer shelter, connection and the possibility of a safer way forward. In the same way, the Church is invited to become a Harbour of Hope: not by creating the light, but by bearing witness to the light we have received in Christ.
